So what exactly is Painless about? Following is a short synopsis.
When Augustus Valentine, president of Trove Import-Export in South Florida, is attacked
and robbed, he thinks the only booty the thieves made off with was a stash of precious
jewels he has smuggled into the United States with a legitimate shipment. This is the
jump start of Augustus' entry deep into the world of organized crime in which his uncle,
Mark Kledas, is a significant player.
As Augustus learns about all of the items stolen in the heist, he embarks on a search of
the goods, discovers who the thieves are, and works towards getting himself a bigger
piece of the deal.
Painless is rife with violence and back story. Initially, the author's approach to presenting
the history of his characters is confusing. Poje drops the reader in the middle of a past
event that is already in progress. This technique demands that the reader quickly catchup.
Fortunately, the author is able to tie the history and current events together, all while
moving the action along at a 100 mph.
Augustus is driven by the tragic deaths of his parents and his adored wife. As he chases
after the bad guys, old scars are peeled away and he is enlightened about parts of his past
that he never knew existed. Painless is a super-charged crime novel that action addicts will love.

Mary's Valentine's Cynthia's Attic: The Missing Locket

Would you like to know a little something about Cynthia's Attic: The Missing Locket? Of course you would! In fact, you are waiting with bated breath to find something out about this novel. Wait no more! Following is a short synopsis of this fantastic novel:
Magical costumes, disappearing stairs and a spooky attic filled with dusty antiques what more could two, adventurous, young girls ask for? Best friends, Cynthia and Gus as she prefers to be called, are as 'different as bubble gum and broccoli.' They are, however, equal in their ability to get into trouble without much effort. In trying to escape the boring summer of 1964, the adventurous twelve-year-old girls stumble upon a trunk in Cynthia's attic that has been in her family for three generations. They discover its mystical qualities when they are swept into the trunk and whisked back to 1914, literally into the lives of their twelve-year-old grandmothers, Clara and Bess. The mystery of a missing family locket is revealed. Their quest takes numerous twists and turns, including a life-and-death struggle on a large steamship traveling from England to America. Along with perilous escapades, they make important, sometimes humorous discoveries about their ancestors, and even manage to change history...for the better...along the way.
Mary's Valentine's Cynthia's Attic: The Magic Medallion

Sinister clowns, stalkers on horseback, mystical forests, and the creepy, crawling curse. A magic trunk sweeps Cynthia, and best friend, Augusta Lee (Gus), back to 1914 where an ill-fated trip to the circus leads to Blackie, a sinister hobo clown. Before they can be forced by Blackie to become permanent clown troupe performers, the girls are rescued by Gabriella, a Gypsy fortune-teller, and are entangled in the theft of her family's treasure. Much to their dismay, Cynthia and Gus appear to be the family's only hope of recovering a precious magic medallion. Traveling unexpectedly forward to 1934, they meet a 'very familiar-looking' cave guide, and are stalked by a stranger on a black horse. Dangers escalate, as they're swept into an underground river, and later, barely avoid becoming 'campfire marshmallows' in a raging forest fire.
Friendship, loyalty, and an undeniable sense of adventure, keep this twosome on a never-ending path of danger, suspense, and merriment.
Mary's Valentine's Cynthia's Attic: Curse of the Bayou

Colorful pirates, SuRana-- a shape-shifting puma, and an old Cajun guide named Mud Bug join Cynthia and Gus as they explore the Curse of the Bayou. The latest quest for the adventurous, twelve-year-old best friends finds them in a Louisiana bayou. There, they search for answers in the disappearance of Cynthia's great-grandfather, Beau Connor, who was on his way down the Mississippi River to sell a flatboat full of produce. With the help of a magic trunk in Cynthia's attic, this time-traveling duo venture back to 1914 New Orleans.
The warm welcome and advice from old friend, Gabriella, is small comfort when Mud Bug warns them to stay away from Buzzard Jack LaBuse, the meanest, orneriest pirate this side of the Mississippi, his gang of misfits, Snags, Darby, and Salty Sam, their thieving parrot mascot. A trip to the Connor's Southern Indiana farm reveals a strange connection between Beau and Buzzard Jack, and a family curse that might be responsible for Cynthia's great-grandfather's disappearance. Returning to New Orleans, a harrowing ride on a roller coaster sends them farther back in time to 1844, straight into the clutches of the evil pirate, fighting for their lives. A mysterious treasure and heart-stopping adventure lead to a final confrontation in the girls' mission to save Great Granddaddy Beau.
Mary's Valentine's Cynthia's Attic: The Magician's Castle

Sebastien the Great, a magician whose fiancee, Kathryn, disappears through the magic trunk, vows revenge. If Cynthia and Gus don't find a missing page from the "Book of Spells," Cynthia's family could face financial and personal ruin. Follow this time-traveling duo as they journey back to a 1914 Swiss castle where Eva, Sebastien’s grandmother, gives them clues on where to begin their search. Their journey takes them through miles of tree tunnels, an enchanted garden ruled by a cranky rock monster, and even high in the Alps. They get the surprise of their lives when they're sent 50 years into the future, have a shocking encounter with another set of best friends, and receive a fresh set of clues that could lead to Kathryn's return. But, at what price?

"From the Potter's Wheel"

So what exactly is "From the Potter's Wheel" about? Following is a short synopsis.
This is the first book to evolve from my relationship with Christ. We are the clay and He is the Master Potter. How many times doesn't the potter break the vessel to form it again and again each time, creating a stronger vessel. It is a compilation of nearly 40 years of walking, learning, watching, waiting, and depending on the trustworthiness of God. Most of the work was written through the struggles of raising a family, church and acknowledging my accountability to the God who loves me and wants me as His child even when I've insisted on having my own way. Through serving, teaching and seeing the hand of God in all areas of my life I can openly testify that God is trustworthy and that is what I want to share. That is my purpose of putting pen to the line.
"As He was Known"

So what exactly is "As He was Known" about? Following is a short synopsis.
The second book to take wings is pretty much a continuation of journaling my life as a child of God. The more I seek God's hand in my life every day the more vibrant his sovereigntly becomes. Although the content of the second publication doesn't really fit the title, the title is the main statement of the book. God is very real and very much alive today just as he was in the days of Moses, Noah, Joseph and on and on. I want to know Him in the deepest sense of the word.
I've also included some writings dedicated to holidays, special days, patriotism, tributes, etc and I've shared a few "mom to mom" experiences for fun.
"Facedown: The Donnie Fisher Story"

So what exactly is "Facedown: The Donnie Fisher Story" about? Following is a short synopsis.
I met Donnie Foster about four years ago. Donnie was a victim of severe child abuse, the fear and anger of which, catapulted him into a life of drugs, alcohol and an abuser. Donnie lived in the heat of drug lords as a dealer and enforcer as well as an addict without a conscience to contradict anything he wanted. This is a story of pain and redemption. Donnie's main purpose of sharing his story is to herald the victory and hope through the healing and forgiving of a God that loved him, preserved him and suffered with him through the freedom process of his enslavement.
Because he lived the life, he can identify with those who find themselves in the clutches of believing lies the hopeless soul believes. He knows their mindset, their thought process and through sharing his story he directs the hopeless to the hope that heals and fills the voids of their dependent lives. This book is a must read.

Would you like to know a little something about Bluegrass Bishop? Of course you would! Following is a short synopsis of this fantastic book:
No nation in the history of the world has accomplished more in such a short time as the United States of America. In every measurable field of endeavor we are a great and unique nation of doers and achievers. However, our fall into mediocrity could be even quicker than our rise into greatness if we forget the primary reason for that rise, which in this author?s opinion, is the adherence to the teachings of Jesus Christ in the lives of individual Americans. As we cease to be a God fearing nation we will continue falling into an immoral abyss. The only solution to this slouching path to unhappiness is in gaining an understanding of the true principles that wrought us as people and as a nation and return to living by them.

Blacks, Red, & Russians: Sojourners in Search of the Soviet Promise

Would you like to know a little something about Blacks, Red, & Russians: Sojourners in Search of the Soviet Promise? Of course you would! In fact, you are waiting with bated breath to find something out about this book. Wait no more! Following is a short synopsis of this fantastic book:
One of the most compelling, yet little known stories of race relations in the twentieth century is the account of blacks who chose to leave the United States to be involved in the Soviet Experiment in the 1920s and 1930s. Frustrated by the limitations imposed by racism in their home country, African Americans were lured by the promise of opportunity abroad. A number of them settled there, raised families, and became integrated into society. The Soviet economy likewise reaped enormous benefits from the talent and expertise that these individuals brought, and the all around success story became a platform for political leaders to boast their party goals of creating a society where all members were equal.
In Blacks, Reds, and Russians, Joy Gleason Carew offers insight into the political strategies that often underlie relationships between different peoples and countries. She draws on the autobiographies of key sojourners, including Harry Haywood and Robert Robinson, in addition to the writings of Claude McKay, W.E.B. Du Bois, and Langston Hughes. Interviews with the descendents of figures such as Paul Robeson and Oliver Golden offer rare personal insights into the story of a group of emigrants who, confronted by the daunting challenges of making a life for themselves in a racist United States, found unprecedented opportunities in communist Russia.

In "Dear Editor: How to reclaim our culture, 200 words at a time" author Bill Womack shares how he stopped complaining and started writing. Despite a lack of journalistic experience, and with no impressive titles behind his name, he managed to get over 40 of his letters to the editor published in five years by the very newspaper he frequently criticized.
In this book, you'll read those letters and almost 50 more. The letters, along with Bill's commentary, address topics as diverse as political correctness, pornography, the sanctity of life, and others.
Just as importantly, you'll also find Bill's thoughts on why more Christians should write letters to the editor, and tips on how to do so effectively. For too long, the Church has stood on the sidelines and watched as the culture has been redefined.
